Plus Size Halloween Costumes!
News in the GPS world keeps swirling around, and for downloaders it's not too late to get some holiday GPS cheer. Here's a couple of updates of note.
First, Gokivo [iTunes link] just announced a new pricing option that allows you to download Gokivo for just $0.99 for the first 30 days, and then pay $4.99 per month/$39.99 a year for service from then on out. We reviewed the app in November. It was middle of the road (pardon the pun) in performance and features, but it does have live traffic and text to speech for announcing turns, so it might be worth a look at this lower price.
Meanwhile, Navigon [iTunes link] has launched a version for Mexico at $49.99. The Mexico version includes many of Navigon's premium navigation capabilities such as Google Local Search, Enhanced Pedestrian Mode, Speed Assistant, Route Planning and even a localized point-of-interest database. If you're doing some driving south of the border, or happen to live down there, it should be on your list of travel options.
I expect the new year will bring a slew of enhancements and new products for the iPhone and iPod touch — who knows, maybe we'll even get to see a tablet navigator before 2010 is through.

If you want to skip the shopping and just buy a ready made costume you can easily find the plus size Halloween costume of your dreams by shopping online. Start by doing a quick search for “plus size costume” on eBay to see if anyone is selling last year's costume for a bargain price. You will find used costumes and new costumes on eBay in a wide variety of styles and various prices. Always be sure to check the shipping charges too.
There are some other great sites out there that offer plus size Halloween costumes. Anytime Costumes has a nice variety of plus size costumes and also has a wonderful assortment of accessories like hats, wigs, masks and more. Their prices are reasonable and they also have a section for plus size “sale” costumes so be sure you check out that section too.
Another site with a large variety of plus size costumes is Spirit Halloween. Their prices are reasonable and they also offer free shipping on orders over $49! They have a 50% off sale section and they also sell Halloween accessories, party decorations and pet costumes too!
You should also check out Halloween Mart. They claim to be the first Halloween costume e-tailer online since 1994. Their plus size section is quite impressive carrying many themes including hippie, retro, gangster, French maids, animals, comical, medical, super heroes, vampires, witches and so much more!
Wherever you decide to shop, just make sure you shop early! The best time to shop is right after Halloween. Many stores and sites offer huge clearance sales after Halloween to move out the old stock. But if you didn't catch the after Halloween sales, you should at least start planning your costume by the end of the summer. Any later than that and the good costumes may all be gone!
